CeCe Bruce MetRuck Zuma Build

2023-24

Honda MetRuck with Zuma158cc Swap:

**

:**

Mods list:

  • MetRuck
  • Honda ruckus front forks with front disc conversation
  • Zuma 158cc
  • Chimera Mount For 7" FATTY
  • ARacer

Future updates:

  • Lots of wiring and just bolting up of parts I have laying around around
  • Updating Wheels at some point to something else (My design hopefully)
  • Grom or Met Front fender, (don’t know which one to go with yet)
  • Hot Lap exhaust for now, but want to find something else later
  • lots of other mods (Coming soon)

Misc: My hope is to have this bike ready for the Small Bore Rally in Tennessee this spring. The ARacer is a little overkill for the 158 but I want to build another engine I have laying around

So I missed out on the Small Bore Rally this year, but I’m already looking forward to next year’s event. In the meantime, I’ve been able to focus on finishing up the Z-MetRuck. It’s not quite there yet, but it’s up and running. Now, I can start working on the finer details and start planning the color scheme. I’m really hoping to get my hands on some Gray and Black Met Plastics and paint the seat frame and rear frames to match.

Did you paint the rear section in classic white?

I just tried to find a white that matched the plastics the best I could. I think the white I picked was a little warmer than what the plastics are. It’s honestly a hard off white to match but it’s not a classic white.

The End of an Era (For Now): Met 2.0 Will Rise Again

I have some bittersweet news to share—this bike no longer exists in its current form. But before you think this is goodbye forever, let me be clear: Met 2.0 will happen someday.

I still have everything except the engine. Recently, I made the tough decision to sell off all my Zuma parts. I know this might sound like I’m giving up, but hear me out. After too many setbacks on this build and watching it sit on my building stand far longer than any of my previous projects, I realized it was time to pivot. Sometimes you need to know when to move on to something else.

It just felt right to let someone else enjoy the 158cc Zuma engine and the Aracer unit. They deserve to be ridden, not collecting dust.

So this isn’t totally the end—think of it as a pause. The bike is going back on the shelf for now, waiting to be reborn as something new. This story isn’t over; it’s just the end of Chapter One.

What engin do you think I should go with Next?

  • Electric Engine
  • GY6
  • PCX 150
  • GET 50cc engine
  • GO back to a Zuma engin
  • Something else?
