Does anyone know the difference between the 2003 - 2005 cylinder head and the 2006 and up cylinder head? Any reason a 2006 and up wouldn’t fit on a 2003? Spark plug hole is destroyed and valve leak.
An 06 and up will fit on a pre 06 block. As far as i’m aware of, cylinder heads are completely interchangeable. I have a 09 head on a 04 bottom end currently.

Some earlier model cylinder heads have a vacuum port on the intake manifold, later ones do not. Im not sure the year/years this was done specifically, I believe it was pre 06. Im not even totally sure what the vacuum port is used for.
