First post , sharing my pcxmet build . Figuring it out as I go. I had started sharing on fb group page but this is better for timeline

Stock met. Pcx engine. Only seen a couple with not much detail to what needed to be done so hopefully this helps others :slightly_smiling_face:

Really the first order of business is engine mounting . I’m designing something and it’s going through a few iterations . The one I’m going forward with is due to header routing . I also am aiming to keep the engine shaved as far forward as I can. I’m not a stretch kinda guy .

A nice piece of 7075, drill and tap for frame bolts . Cut with bandsaw and finished on the belt grinder . Came out exactly how I wanted🤘🏼. Ample room for a header . It will have a center sleeve for in between the engine mount points, this will be threaded so a bolt on either side will secure it. I don’t think I have single bolt long enough to go all the way across. Now I can measure for center and make the spacers .

Mount is finished for now. Always open for suggestions. Moving onto shock mounts. It will only have 2” of shock travel . The other Mets Iv seen in order to keep them slammed they hard tailed them. I want to keep dual shocks , I’m 200lbs and these will gangsta lean with single sided shock :joy:. Plenty of room and symmetrical mounts for both shocks. Upper will be plated on the inside too. The lower will be a custom bar for strength.

I’m following this closely. Love all the details and the fab work.
I’d be happy to purchase a set of these mounts as well once you have them ready.
Perhaps you can send them over to sendcutsend.com to create a bunch in bulk and sell them?

Something to consider with the rear shock mounts if you haven’t already –
Looks like it might be a tight squeeze for some of the thicker, adjustable, aftermarket rear shocks. Mainly at the top where it looks like those factory ones are almost kissing the frame.

Yea definitely, this is only ver.1. build it up and see what needs to changed , added, taken away etc. thanks! :metal:t3:

Shock mounts. This isn’t final this is placement testing. The m6 hardware will be upsized to m8. Add a few cm to length but overall I like it.

Pressure tested the radiator at full 15psi for 30min . The radiator was a clearance issue hence why I went aluminum. Plus better cooling for big bore. At full bump everything clears . The upper hose fitting and fill neck are being relocated to the inside!
